I am excited about becoming a basketball shooting specialist in the Phoenix, AZ area, and my goal is to offer the best instruction in Phoenix.
I enjoyed a lot of success in basketball. I owe much of that success to my ability to shoot.
While playing basketball at Pembroke Hill High School in Kansas City, I sought out the top shooting instructor in the KC, Lawrence, KS area. That instructor was Coach Bob Drake & Coach Drake is still mentoring me.
A 1998 graduate of The Pembroke Hill School in Kansas City, Missouri, Dhiman along with former NBA players JaRon Rush (Seattle SuperSonics) and Kareem Rush (Los Angeles Lakers) won two Missouri 2A State Championships. Dhiman led Pembroke Hill and the Show Me Vest Conference in three-point field goal percentage at 44.4%. At the conclusion of the season, Dhiman was granted the Raider Award which acknowledges hard work, commitment, and dedication to the game of basketball.
Dhiman spent the next 5 years pursuing his medical degree at the Iberoamerican University in the Dominican Republic. During his tenure he became the university’s all time leading scorer (1,932 points) and set numerous records including field goals made (793), three-point field goals made (235), three-point field goal percentage (40.8%), free-throw percentage (79.3%), steals (120), and minutes played (3656).
After a stellar collegiate career, Dhiman embarked on a professional basketball career starting in 2004 with I.G.K. in the National Superior District League of the Dominican Republic. In his rookie season, he was named to the All-Rookie team and the All-Star Team. In 2005, Dhiman signed as a free agent with BTG Express at the Southern California Summer Pro League and has played with BTG Express on three other occasions at the Summer Pro League in Los Angeles, California. In 2006, Dhiman signed as a free agent with the ABA’s San Diego Wildcats. Following one season in the ABA, Dhiman returned to IGK in the Dominican Republic and again led his team in three-point field goals made (21), and led the league in three-point field goal percentage (44.7%). Averaging 13.2 points per game, Dhiman was selected as a reserve in the 2006 National Superior District All-Star Game.
Dhiman remained active in competitive basketball competing in an exhibition pro basketball tour in Florida and Puerto Rico with Sports ministry, Athletes in Action, in the summer of 2013. As the only veteran, Dhiman lead his team to an undefeated record while shooting a scorching 57.2 % from beyond the arc.
